This project explores the celestial event of Matariki which has been observed
by the native Maori of New Zealand for many years. Over recent decades however,
the observance and celebration has waned but there is renewed awareness of the
event within New Zealand culture. This calendar tracks the events for each
day of the month-long celebration within a beautiful aesthetic and strong sense of time.
